Canva shortcuts are a great time-saver!

You don’t have to be a professional designer, or even trained artist, to create beautiful and compelling graphics for your coaching website or social media.

All you need is Canva!

However, designing can take up a lot of your time, and if there’s one thing that often seems to be in short supply… it’s time!

So in this article, I’m going to share 11 of my favorite Canva keyboard shortcuts for coaches so that you can save hours while designing your next eye-catching project.

FYI: Cmd is for Macs, Ctrl is for PCs

  1. Copy: Cmd/Ctrl + C
  2. Paste: Cmd/Ctrl + V
  3. Undo: Cmd/Ctrl + Z
  4. Redo: Cmd/Ctrl + Shift + Z
  5. Group elements: Cmd/Ctrl + G
  6. Align text to the left: Cmd/Ctrl + Shift + L
  7. Align text to the right: Cmd/Ctrl + Shift + R
  8. Align text in the center: Cmd/Ctrl + Shift + C
  9. Duplicate elements: Cmd/Ctrl + D
  10. Delete element: Delete key

Bonus Canva Shortcuts Keys

  1. Increase font size: Cmd/Ctrl + Shift + >
  2. Decrease font size: Cmd/Ctrl + Shift + <

How to Use Canva Like A Pro with Canva Shortcut Keys for Coaches

By learning these shortcut keys, you’ll be using Canva like a pro.

Your ideas will flow into your designs with greater speed and accuracy.

Make sure to either bookmark this page for future reference!

Copy:

Copying elements within Canva can help to speed up your design process. Simply press Cmd/Ctrl + C to copy any element

Paste:

Once you have an element copied, you can paste an element in Canva by pressing Cmd/Ctrl + V

Undo an action:

Experimentation is a key part of design. If you make a “mistake” or something doesn’t turn out quite they way you wanted, you can press Cmd/Ctrl + Z to undo an action in Canva

Redo an action:

Looking to redo that same action, simply press Cmd/Ctrl + Shift + Z and it will come right back

Group elements:

Grouping elements is a great way to stay organized. Press Cmd/Ctrl + G to group multiple elements together. Just make sure to select all of the elements you want to be grouped first

Align text to the left:

Our eyes can deceive us, which is why Canva will align elements for you. To align your selected elements to the left, press Cmd/Ctrl + Shift + L

If you want to align your selected elements to the right, press Cmd/Ctrl + Shift + R

And lastly, if you want those elements to align to the center, press Cmd/Ctrl + Shift + C

Duplicate elements:

Instead of copy and pasting your elements, you can quickly duplicate them with the shortcut Cmd/Ctrl + D or Cmd/Ctrl + Option/Alt + C

Delete element:

My last Canva keyboard shortcut is simple yet useful.

If you need to remove something, you can delete the element by selecting it and then pressing the Delete key on your keyboard.

You can also select multiple elements (hold down Shift when clicking each one) to delete them all at the same time.

Lastly, here’s a couple bonus Canva shortcut keys for you!

Increase font size:

If you want to quickly increase the size of your font, press Cmd/Ctrl + Shift + >

Decrease font size:

Likewise, if you want to decrease the font size, press Cmd/Ctrl + Shift + <
